![]() So, I either have to redo all the parts and correct the triplets, which is more time consuming, or just leave it alone. Hope this explains it.Īnd now I just check the parts to be printed out.all the editing with "those" eighth with the line coming down in my score and I saved them, well they were not saved in the parts. When you're putting in a lot of eighth note triplets, fixing this is time consuming. So, I'm able to click on the bottom of the line and a little square appears which you can grab and drag up to the bracket and hide it. It looks fine except over the eighth rest there is a line coming down as if there was another eighth note, There technically shouldn't be a line coming down over the rest. An eighth rest (or quaver rest) lasts the same duration as an eighth note or a quaver half a beat. Each duration of note has a corresponding rest of the same length. Eighth rests are easy to spot because they look like a fancy number seven. The durations are relative: a whole note is equal to the duration of two half notes, four quarter notes, eight eighth notes, and sixteen sixteenth notes. Use a plus sign (+) when writing the count for eighth notes and eighth rests. ![]() I end up with an eighth note, an eighth rest and another eighth to complete the triplet. In music notation, rhythms are indicated with variations in the way notes are shaped on the page. I then put another eighth note where the 3rd eighth note would go. I highlight the note, press COMM + 3 and the triplet bracket comes on over the note. I choose an eighth note from the keypad and put it in the measure. Then instead of entering a pitch as you would for a note, choose one of the following options. The duration is selected in the same way as for notes (e.g., using the toolbar or keyboard shortcuts 1 9 ). I choose a measure where I want the notes. Rests can be entered using the computer keyboard or mouse.
